Nancy Carol (Grimes) Kruc passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Baystate Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts. Nancy was born in Litchfield, Illinois to Marvel Thomas and Marian Elouise (Randle) Grimes on December 1, 1929. Nancy and family moved to Chicago in the 1940’s where she met the love of her life John Robert Kruc. They wed in LaGrange, Illinois on March 8, 1949 on John’s birthday. Living most of their lives in Countryside, Illinois, where they welcomed their only son, Tom. After retiring, Nancy and John moved to their beloved St. Germain, Wisconsin where Nancy lived until 2013 before moving to Longmeadow, Massachusetts to be near Tom and his wife Angie Robinson Kruc. Nancy loved her religion and deep faith, jewelry, bakery, nice clothes, car rides in the fall, and long naps in the warm sunshine. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, her little sister Patrica and her husband John Middleton. Nancy leaves behind her son Tom and daughter-in-law Angie, nieces Amanda, April, Marcia and Mary Sue; nephews Andrew and Mike. Also many dear friends including Betty, Bill, Cindy, & Sue. The family would like to thank all the healthcare providers who took such loving care of Nancy in the past few months. A family internment in Lyonsville Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Lyonsville Cemetery Association, 6871 Joliet Road, Indian Head Park, Illinois 60525.
