Mustafa I Adham, Md

Deerfield Beach, FL - Mustafa I. Adham, 93, died April 15, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by loving family. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, he came to the US in the late 1940s to be a surgical resident at Mass General Hospital in Boston. He then later settled in West Springfield and was Chief of Surgery at then, Springfield Hospital, and practiced general and cancer surgery until retirement in 1983. He was an admired and well respected surgeon who cared for many people who speak of him with much fondness. He enjoyed reading and listening to opera and classical music, as well as being curious about many things, including physics and chemistry and ventured into photography, welding, and electronics, as hobbies. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Eli P (Richter) who passed in 2008. He leaves behind a daughter Yasmin Adham and her husband Stanley Padykula; and a son, Robert Adham and his wife Patty Adham. Also, he leaves other family, friends, and former colleagues to cherish his memory.There will be a private service.
