Monroe Kelly, Jr.

Monroe Kelly, Jr., 81, beloved husband of Maryann (Mc Donald) Kelly, passed away on November 24, 2022.
He was born in Brookhaven, MS on July 10, 1941 a son of the late Monroe and Mae Louise (McCallum) Kelly. He retired from Savage Arms as a machine operator. He enjoyed fishing, work, made sure to take care of his family and play his lottery numbers. He was an avid Spades player and was called the “Acey-Ducey Man”. Monroe was known as a hands-on type of guy, a “Mr. Fix It”. He was also a sports fanatic and a huge Pittsburg Steelers fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived his sons: Donald Kelly of Springfield, MA, Everick Kelly of San Diego, CA, Darin Mc Donald of Springfield, MA, Marvin Kelly and his fiancé Taima Smith of Chicopee, MA and Freddie Mc Donald and his wife Yolanda of Springfield, MA and his siblings: Otis Kelly and John Kelly both of Springfield, MA, Joe Kelly of Chicopee, MA, Edna Wallace and Elnora Hurrye, both of GA, Dorothy Cooley of CA, Cora Robinson of Springfield, MA and Minnie Dickey of CA. He also leaves his sisters-in-law Shirley McLean (Eugene) of NC and Josephine Mc Donald of Westfield, MA, his brother-in-law James Mc Donald of NC and grandchildren: Latraya Mc Donald, Jalen Mc Donald, Travis Hatcher and many nieces and nephews.
Sadly, he was predeceased by four siblings: Willie Kelly, Hosea Kelly, Lucius Kelly, and Eula Johnson.
The viewing will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 4PM-5:30PM with a service at 5:30PM at New England funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
