Mirta M. Rivera

SPRINGFIELD-Mirta M. Rivera, 64, died October 8, 2013 in East Longmeadow, MA. Born on July 5, 1949 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico to Julio and Susana Diaz Medina, she had worked for 45 years at Hasbro. Ms. Rivera had a great passion for reading, vacationing in Maine and was an avid Red Sox fan. Predeceased by her father, she leaves her husband of 50 years, Mortimer Rivera Sr. of Springfield, MA, mother, Susana Medina of New York City, daughter, Vivian Rivera of Monson, MA, son, Mortimer Rivera Jr. of Springfield, MA, brother, Luis F. Medina, sisters, Julia Medina and Aurea Medina all of NY, grandchildren: Tashiana, Aliyah and Skye and great grandchildren, Jalen and Ezequiel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 9:00-10:00AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA with a service at 10:00AM.
