Michael S. Hreschuk

West Springfield – Michael S. Hreschuk, 75, passed away on December 25, 2017.
He was born in Springfield on June 28, 1942, the son of the late Michael and Jane (Smietana) Hreschuk.
He attended local schools and served in the U S Army from 1962 – 1965.
He moved to West Springfield in 1967 where he raised his family.
Michael was an avid surf cast fisherman who often returned from his fishing trips with more stories than fish. He was happiest when he was with his family while camping in Montauk, NY or at the Cape Cod National Seashore.
Michael is survived by his wife of fifty years, Linda (Murphy) Hreschuk, his sons, David and his wife Theresa of Long Beach, CA, and Gary and his wife Meghan of Holden, MA. He also leaves his sister Deborah Ward of Feeding Hills. His greatest joy was spending time with his four grandchildren, Aidan, Bennett, Quinn, and Emma.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA.
