SPRINGFIELD-Michael J. Hollis, 59, died April 29, 2012. Born in Springfield, MA to the late Henry A. and Clara (Laroe) Hollis, he had worked for the City of Springfield as a Sanitation Worker and enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, cards and the Red Sox. Predeceased by his parents and nephew, Daniel W. Hollis Jr., he leaves his siblings: Charles Hollis Sr. (Carla), Robert, James Hollis, Jean Hollis and Linda Larose all of Springfield, MA, Daniel Hollis Sr. (Pamala) of CT, Henry Hollis of West Springfield, MA, Judith Plaine (Oliver) of WV; his nieces and nephews: Tammie Mae Hollis, Charles Hollis Jr., Rae Marie Hollis, Robert Plaine, Dean Larose and Jason Larose; his great nieces and nephews: Andrew Hollis, Faith Hollis, Victoria Hollis, Trenton Hollis, Beau Plaine, Carrie Plaine and Alison Plaine and many other family members. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA.
