SOUTHAMPTON-Michael J. Aiello, 59, of Southampton, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 2, 2013. Born December 3, 1953 in Jersey City, NJ he was a son of the late John and Claire Aiello. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Diane C. Aiello. He will be sadly missed by his cherished and beloved children, Monica L. Jaczyk and her husband Michael of Springfield and Michael J. Aiello Jr., and his wife Blair of Holyoke. He retired from the U.S.P.S. in 2011, where he worked for 38 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and appreciated anything to do with nature. He also adored family trips to the Jersey shore. He was very crafty and enjoyed creating driftwood sculptures. He loved music especially the Rolling Stones and U2. He was a family man who took pleasure in the time spent with his wife and children by the campfire. He loved to cook and enjoyed family meals together. He raised many boxer pups and leaves behind his beloved dog Mary. He was predeceased by his brothers Johnny and Richard. He is survived by his sister Kathy Amodei and her husband Mike of NJ. He will be sadly missed by his mother and father-in-law Eleanor and John Scappaticcio of NJ, many nieces and nephews as well as his longtime friends Dennis Nugent of TN and Marc and Donna Sales of FL. The wake will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 4:00-6:30PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA with a service at 6:30PM. Visit
