Enfield – Merrilee Aurora Hale, 35, passed away at home on Monday, November 20, 2017.
She was born in Springfield on February 21, 1982, the daughter of Brian F. Hale and Maryann (Bridges) Hale.
She was a visual artist and graphic designer and taught at American International College. Merrilee had a life-long love of the arts and was instrumental in the creation and development of the Bing Arts Center.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her stepmother Deanna J. Chrislip, her maternal grandmother Eileen (Sullivan) Bridges, her paternal grandmother Carolyn (Sinclair) Hale, of Springfield, and her uncle Clifford B. Hale of Concord, NC. She also leaves her dearest friend Scott Morrill of Lee, MA.
Merrilee was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Thomas F. Bridges, her paternal grandfather Bruce F. Hale, and her uncle Thomas A. Bridges.
A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 10am – 11am followed by a memorial service at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield.
