SPRINGFIELD-Maurice P. Kelliher, 57, died December 21, 2010 at his home in Springfield, MA. He was born in Hartford, CT on May 18, 1953 to Maurice and Cecelia (Wenc) Kelliher. He had lived in Springfield for 30 years, coming from Enfield, CT. Maurice was a Mental Health and Substance Abuse therapist at New Directions in Enfield, CT and an Adjunct Instructor at Manchester Community College. He was a longtime member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to the study and re-creation of the historic Middle Ages and Renaissance. His hobbies included photography and ceramics. Pre-deceased by his father, Maurice Steven Kelliher, he leaves his wife, Yolanda Graham Kelliher, his mother, Cecelia (Wenc) Kelliher, of Enfield, Ct, step-son, Kristofer Graham, of Wilbraham, MA, brother, Michael Kelliher and his wife, Gayle, of Longmeadow, MA, sisters: Mary Ann Ford and her husband, John, of Stroudsberg, PA and Kathleen Kelliher of Eugene, OR; 3 nieces: Katelyn Kelliher, Amy Asselin, and Savanah Stalker; 2 great-nieces and his mother and father-in-law, Helen and Lewis Randall, of Vernon, Ct; brothers-in-law: Lewis E. Randall Jr. and his wife Sarah, of Mt. Washington, MA and Keith Randall of Vernon, CT. A “Remembering Mo” ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 23 at 6:30 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA 01108. His family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 PM until the time of the ceremony at 6:30 PM.
