Matthew Joseph Nardi

Our hearts are broken over the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Matthew Joseph Nardi of Hampden, MA on December 5, 2023. Matt was born in Springfield MA on April 25, 1986. He was a 2004 graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School, and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UMass Amherst. He was working as an engineer for the United States Postal Service at the time of his death. Matt enjoyed golfing, taking long walks with his dogs, time with his friends, and spending time with his nieces who adored him. He leaves behind his parents Donald and Katherine Nardi of Hampden, MA, his sister Kristen Brannigan and her husband Kurt of Duxbury, his nieces Grace and Emma Brannigan, his grandmother Betty Evans of Springfield, MA, and his many aunts, uncles and cousins who will all miss him greatly. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Springfield Rescue Mission, the Dakin Humane Society, or the Hampden Park & Rec.
