Obituary

Mary Magdalene Parker of Wilbraham, age 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on February 28, 2026. She was born on October 4, 1931, in Springfield, MA to her late parents, Carmelo and Ethel (Askins) Philippino. Mary spent 67 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Frederick James Parker. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children and a member of Cornerstone Church. Mary will be remembered as a beautiful soul who loved and cared for her family. She loved music and singing, glamour and elegance. She was rarely without hoop earrings and a string of pearls. Mary is predeceased by her parents, her daughter Debbie Murphy, and her brothers Anthony Philippino and John Askins. She is survived by her husband Frederick, her sons Robert Rowe and his wife Joanne of Wilbraham, and Michael Parker and his fiancée Kimberly Clemons of Springfield, her sister Rose North of Arizona, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held privately at the family’s convenience. Memorial contributions can be made in Mary’s memory to the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society.
