Mark Steven Twining, age 65, of Granby, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Holyoke, MA, he was the son of the late Ralph Twining of Holyoke, who passed in 1969, and Carol Spears (Verdin), who passed in 2015. Mark lived a life defined by kindness, humor, and a deep love for his family. A truck driver and talented pool builder, Mark was known for his hardworking spirit and the joy he found in helping others. He was a family man, and he cherished spending time with his ten beloved grandchildren, who were his greatest joy. Mark also shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Bree, who was always by his side. His quick wit, gentle nature, and infectious laugh left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. It was not uncommon to find Mark sitting out on the patio with a cigarette in hand, listening to country music, and enjoying a couple of beers. He liked pickup trucks and loved the beach. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and felt proud of the line of veterans he came from. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ralph Twining Jr. He is survived by his loving daughter, Brittany Bolduc of Westfield; his stepchildren Todd Diederich, William Grimaldi, and Kara Grimaldi; his brothers William Twining of Springfield and James Twining; and his sister, Suzanne. Mark also leaves behind his beloved significant other, Terri Boutin, with whom he shared many happy years and memories. Mark’s life was full of love, laughter, and generosity. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his warmth. A private service will be held to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Mark’s memory — just as he showed kindness to so many throughout his life. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements. Please visit Mark’s memorial page at ww.nefcc.net with expressions of sympathy.
