Marilyn P. Witman

EAST LONGMEADOW – Marilyn P. Witman, 86, passed away February 29, 2016. Born on October 14, 1929 in Knoxville, TN to the late Arthur and Lorena (Vaber) Pond, she had worked as a paraprofessional in Springfield Public Schools. She enjoyed working with children at the Bethlehem Baptist Church school. Predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Jack E. Witman on July 11, 2015 and two grandchildren, she leaves her son Brian Witman (Barbara) of South Yarmouth, MA; daughters Billie Porter (Larry) of High Point, NC, Robin Roberts (Francis) of Feeding Hills, MA and Noel Watson (Edmund) of Winston Salem, NC; siblings Richard Pond (Patricia) and Carolyn Allen of Springfield, MA; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be held on March 5, 2016 at 11 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church 123 Allen Street, Hampden, MA. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
