Longmeadow – Marie-Luce Myers, 76, died August 16, 2009 in Springfield. Born in St Pie, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Armand and Irma (Bousquet) Girouard, Marie lived in Ellington, Connecticut before moving to Longmeadow in 1968. She was a communicant of St Mary’s Church. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed having morning coffee with her friends at McDonalds on Allen Street in Springfield. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Geoffrey Myers, and a brother, Gilles Girouard. Marie leaves her son, Philippe Myers of Longmeadow; daughters, Evelyn Exley (William) of Portland, Maine, Judith Ellard of Springfield and Christine Durso (Jeffrey) of Gilman, Connecticut; a brother, Paul Andre Girouard of Canada; grandchildren: Andrew , Janice and James Exley, Clifford Ellard III, Michael Ellard and Travis and Elliot Budd; nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and her special friend, Primo Framarin, of Wilbraham. Family and friends are invited to attend a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. in St Mary’s Church, Longmeadow. Private burial will take place in Ellington, Ct.
