SPRINGFIELD—Maria Jimenez, 88, passed away on March 11, 2015 at Wingate at Springfield. Born in Puerto Rico on July 24, 1926 to Antonio Mendez and Francisca Jimenez, she was an excellent seamstress.
She will be remembered as an angel, a kind, loving, caring woman who loved to dance, was an excellent cook, teaching her daughters-in-law “secret” recipes and as a beautiful woman “inside and out”.
She leaves her sons Eddie Perez and his wife Carmen of Springfield, Angel L. Perez and his wife Susan of NY, daughter Maria Perez of Chicopee, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015 with The Right Reverend Monsignor Juan Garcia officiating at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. A private visitation will precede the service. Visit www.nefcc.net
