Margaret M. Hoschetetler

February 6, 1941 — September 20, 2020

South Hadley - Margaret (Peg) M. (Kelley) Hoschtetler, 79 years old, passed away on September 20, 2020 at home in the loving care of her family. She was born to Michael and Margaret (Greenwood) Kelley on February 6, 1941 in New London, CT. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her infant son Kevin Goodyear, her husband, Mose Hoschtetler, and her brother Michael Kelley.

Peg was an avid Red Sox fan, loved reading, doing crossword puzzles in pen and an expert grandkid spoiler. She is deeply missed by her children, Larry Goodyear (Amy), Mark Goodyear (Cindy), Heidi Boudreau (George), Amy Gray (Ed), Kelli Heffley (Jim), and Tim Hoschtetler.

Affectionately known as “Meika” to her grandchildren, Lindsay Goodwin (Ryan), Ashley Goodyear, Heather Blantyre (Will), Jenni Goodyear, Sarah Rivet (Kyle), Ben Rivet (Jessy), George Boudreau, Stephanie, Jasmine, and Tiffany Gray, Vanessah Gray, Jack and Maggie Heffley, Cait and Allie Hoschtetler, she is also missed by her cherished great- grandchildren, Avery, Cindy, Ellie, Elise, and Maddie and her nephews Michael and Sean Kelley, sister-in- law Linda Kelley and her great-niece Elise Kelley.

Peg’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Ed and Judy Quinlan for their dedicated friendship, especially over the past couple of years and to Deacon Dave Bergeron for his spiritual guidance, which was so important to her.

Family and friends are invited to a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, South Hadley with burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.  Masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Peg’s honor to St. Patrick’s Church in South Hadley.
