Lynn (O’Leary) Mansfield entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Born in Springfield on December 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Connie O’Leary. A 1960 graduate of the High School of Commerce in Springfield, Lynn retired from The Commonwealth of Massachusetts after 30 years of service at the former Monson Developmental Center. She leaves her loving husband of 63 years, Frederick Mansfield and her children who she loved very much, her sons Michael and Patrick (Darryl) and her daughter Colleen Fernandez (Carlos). She was predeceased by her daughter Kelly in 2000. She also leaves her grandchildren Rebecca Rebeiro, Rachel Bergeron, Russell Mansfield, Megen Latour, Thea Fernandez and Aiden Fernandez, her sisters Maureen O’Leary, Erin Pryor, Shannon O’Leary, brothers Brian O’Leary, Kevin O’Leary, and Christopher O’Leary, 6 great grandchildren and her sisters-in-law Anna May Casagrande and Margaret McAdam and brother-in-law Dennis Mansfield. The funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Palmer on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. The family requests that the burial services be held privately at St. Thomas Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Lynn’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army, which held a special place in her heart. The family would like to thank the staff at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center for their compassion and exceptional care.
