Louis Vassallo

Springfield - Louis Vassallo, 74, died July 12, 2009. He was born in New York, NY to the late Adolfo and Antonia (Lopez) Vassallo. Louis was a postal carrier in New York City for over thirty years, retiring in 1992, when he moved to Springfield, MA to enjoy his retirement years. He shared the home of Emilio and Justina Guadalupe and together they meticulously cared for the home which was the former residence of the famous children’s author, Dr. Seuss. He is survived by his three sons, 1 daughter, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his sister and many other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, July 18, 2009. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC has been entrusted locally with the arrangements.
