Springfield- Lorraine W. Flavin, 64, beloved wife of Timothy F. Flavin, passed away at home on December 30, 2019 with her loving family at her side.
Born in Springfield, MA on September 13, 1955 to the late Ransom and Charlotte (Mueller) Willett, she was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class of 1974 and Springfield Technical Community College. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Lorraine devoted her life to her family and was primarily a stay-at-home mom. For a period of time she operated a private day care center and at the time of her death she was the Administrative Assistant to the Community Preservation Committee for the City of West Springfield. She loved to spend every summer working on a wonderful garden with her husband.
Predeceased by her sister, Carolyn Willett, she leaves her husband Timothy; her children: Riane E. Flavin, Michael J. Flavin, and Timothy F. Flavin II, all of Springfield; brothers James and Gerald Willett, sisters-in-law Pamela Croke (husband Thomas) and Deborah Flavin Eley, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 4-7 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA 01108. The funeral will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104 on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM.
