Linda M. (Hollis) LaRose, 65, passed away on June 3, 2020. A lifelong Indian Orchard resident, she was born in Springfield on November 28, 1954, a daughter of the late Charles and Clara (LaRoe) Hollis.
She was a 1973 graduate of the former Austine School for the Deaf in Brattleboro, VT and was employed in food service at McDonald’s for over twenty years and Walmart as a door greeter. She was a member of the Holyoke, MA and Brattleboro, VT deaf clubs and in her spare time she enjoyed making jewelry, crocheting, playing cards, and spending time with her two beautiful grandchildren, Savannah and Jaxson. She always had a smile and never met a stranger she didn’t love.
She is survived by her sons: Dean LaRose and his wife Tina of Springfield and Jason LaRose and his partner Mandy Desroches of Gilbertville. She also leaves her siblings: Daniel Hollis (Pam), Robert Hollis, James Hollis, Charles Hollis (Carla), Judith Plaine (Ollie) and Jean Hollis.
Friends and family are requested to meet at the main entrance of Hillcrest Park Cemetery on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11AM. The procession will then form to the memorial garden for a celebration of her life. In following health guidelines, masks and social distancing are required.
