Lawrence J. Devine

Lawrence J. Devine passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Born in Hazardville, CT, son of the late William and Janet Devine, he was raised and schooled in Enfield, CT and served in the Connecticut Army National Guard. Larry worked for Piels Brewery in Chicopee until their closure. He later spent 23 wonderful years as a custodian retiring from Mountainview School in East Longmeadow. He was a 46-year resident of East Longmeadow.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan (Tyburski) Devine. His loving son David passed away in November 2018. He leaves his sister Lois Hampson of Manchester, CT and sisters-in-law: Janet Perlmutter of Agawam, Dolores Tyburski of West Springfield and Esther Devine of Ludlow.

Private funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 beginning at 10AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. proceeding to St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee for a graveside service at 11AM.
