Lamar R. Gerver

FLORIDA - Mr. Lamar R. Gerver, Sr., 83, died August 19, 2010 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. An area resident since 1969 he had been employed for 15 years as a branch manager for SIS Bank in Chicopee, Massachusetts. He served his country as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force during World War II. He and his wife, Therese (Greiler) Gerver, maintained homes in Summerfield, Florida and in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Predeceased by his parents, Charles H. Gerver and Hattie (Copenhauer) Gerver, he is survived by his wife, Therese; sons, Lamar R. Gerver, Jr., of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Pernell R. Gerver and his wife, Audrey, of Chicopee, Massachusetts; brother, Donald Gerver and sister, Janet Gerver, both of Pennsylvania.
