Longmeadow – Kathryn E. Schubach, 71, a lifelong area resident, passed away on December 19, 2019. She was born in Springfield, MA on April 5, 1948, to the late Herman and Elinor (Bride) Schubach. Kathy graduated from Classical High School and Fitchburg State College. She began her career as a teacher in the Springfield school system, and later served for many years as a social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Kathy had many interests, including traveling, spending time with friends and family, watching the horse races, and cheering on her beloved Boston Red Sox. She is survived by her brother, Richard Schubach of Michigan; her sister, Christine Schubach (Joseph Kessler), of Springfield; and nephews Paul Schubach, Dustin Wyland, and Brendan Wyland.
