Kathleen A. Kozakiewicz

Kathleen A. (Knox) Kozakiewicz, 78, passed away on April 24, 2022. A lifelong Springfield, MA resident, she was born on August 30, 1943, the daughter of the late Grosvenor Knox and Barbara (Burns) Gonzales.
She attended local schools and retired as a matron from the Springfield Police Department.
She is survived by her son Steven Mercure of Chicopee, MA and her daughter Suzette DiBella and her husband Carmine of Agawam, MA. She also leaves her partner Joseph Witkowski and six sisters: Diane Baribeau, Carmen Burroughs, Linda Silvas, Sulema Andreoli, Marcia Brumley and Maria Roncarati; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Glenn Mercure, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 9AM – 10AM with a service at 10AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
