Springfield – Kathleen M. (Nightingale) Gorneault, 76, wife of the late Joel Gorneault, passed away on February 5, 2020.
She was born in Guerette, ME on April 4, 1943, a daughter of the late Wilson and Edith (Dionne) Nightingale and was a forty-three-year Springfield resident, a communicant of Holy Name Church and a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: sons Joseph Gorneault (Betsy) of Feeding Hills, and Daniel Gorneault of FL, four daughters: Albertine Gorneault of Springfield, Romona Gorneault and Lucina Gorneault both of Chicopee, and Amanda Truong of SC. She also leaves her brother Clarence Rossignol of ME, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Leanne, Rosanna, Doris, and Bertha.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 4 – 6PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA, followed by a funeral service at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104 or American Legion Post 124 Honor Guard, PO Box 236, Westfield, MA 01086.
