Katherine V. Watson - Higginbotham

Springfield - Katherine V. Watson – Higginbotham, 81, a forty-eight year Springfield resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center.
She was born in Danbury, CT on August 21, 1935, the daughter of the late Ernest and Willelmina (Smith) Parsons Bolden and was previously employed at Chaffin Associates in architectural design and drafting.
She was the wife of the late Frank Higginbotham III who predeceased her on May 19, 2001.
She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Vilmadinah Gharib of East Windsor, CT, Evang. Patricia W. Reynolds and her husband Reverend Zachary Reynolds of Springfield, and Linda Early Gray, whom she regarded as a daughter. She was predeceased by her daughter Velma Joyce English. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on December 28, 2016 at 10am at Progressive Community Baptist Church with a service at 11am.
She will be laid to rest along with her husband at the Committal Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at 3pm.
