West Springfield - Katherine R. (Bernardi) Franklin passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday March 23, 2018 at the age of 70.
She was born on May 25, 1947 to the late Henry and Emily (McDevitt) Bernardi.
Kathy worked for various companies throughout her life, currently at the American Legion Post 207 as the keno operator/bartender.
Kathy's passions in life were her family, trips to Foxwoods, Vegas, bingo and scratch tickets.
She leaves behind her three loving children Dawn Franklin and partner April Gardner, Lynn Lacombe and Arthur Franklin and his longtime companion Crystal Barree, her three loving grandchildren Gregory Donovan, Alexa and Ava Franklin and her granddog Baxter Lacombe. She also leaves two brothers Louis Bernardi and his wife Cathy and Warren LaVoice, and her good friend Donna Bressette.
She was predeceased by her brother Henry Bernardi in 2016 and her son -in-law Michael Lacombe in 2012.
Per Kathy's wishes there will be no calling hours. Burial will be private.
A celebration of her life will be held at the American Legion Post 207, 83 Park Avenue, West Springfield on Saturday April 14, 2018 at 2pm.
The family would like to thank the West Springfield Fire Dept EMS for their care and compassion over the last several months.
