Justin D. Garrafa

SPRINGFIELD- Justin D. Garrafa, 21, died tragically in Springfield, MA on October 4, 2011. Justin was born on January 8, 1990 in Springfield to David Garrafa and Jeannette Oyola. He attended Springfield schools and Longmeadow High School where he enjoyed his biggest passion, basketball, and was named MVP. Justin loved spending time with his family, music, cars and fashion. He leaves his parents, his daughter: Jyana Garrafa and her mother, Melinda Maldonado; brothers: David Garrafa and Jason and Jeian Stewart; sisters: Daviani and Destiny Garrafa and Leila Lendon, all of Springfield, MA; grandparents: Hector Oyola and Maria Echevarria of Puerto Rico and David Garrafa and Delia Ramos of Springfield, MA; aunts: Lizet and her husband Angel, Margarita, Melba, Carmen and Mari; uncles: William and his wife, Maribel, Hector and his wife, Carmen and Domingo and his wife, Carmen and many beloved cousins. Justin's mother will be forever grateful to her sister, Melba, who has been with her nephew from the day he was born in Baystate Medical Center throughtout his entire young life until the moment he died. Visitation for Justin will be on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 2:00-5:15 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street Springfield, MA with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 5:15 PM.
