Springfield - Judith Scotland (nee Jones), age 62, leaves her mother Velma Jones, her sisters Teresa Jones of Connecticut and Beverly Moore of Maryland.
She is predeceased by her father, Willie Jones, and 2 brothers, Willie Jones Jr. and Milton Jones.
Judith graduated Magna cum Laude from Bay Bath College in Longmeadow where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and an Associate in Science degree, Paralegal. She graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Judith was employed at Hampshire College in Enrollment Operations and Technology and previously worked at the City of Springfield Housing Office and Mass Mutual.
Judith enjoyed sewing and was well known for her fashion and seamstress talents, including male and female wardrobe alterations. She also loved dogs, cats and traveling to serene ocean front locations.
Judith was taught from the Bible at an early age, baptized at age15 in 1970 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
A period of visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 11AM -12Noon at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 mill Street, Springfield, MA. A Memorial Talk will begin at noon. Burial will be private. Please visit www.nefcc.net
