Joseph R. Sweeney, 63, a lifelong Springfield, MA resident passed away on September 3, 2021 at home surround by his loving family.
He was born in Northampton, MA on September 7, 1957, a son of Robert and the late Dorothy (Ledoux) Sweeney and attended and graduated from local schools. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping and hiking; but most of all he loved spending time with his grandson Nathan Rickles. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Sweeney and his brother David Sweeney of Springfield. He was predeceased by his brother Mark Sweeney.
