Joseph Albert Proulx

Joseph Albert Proulx, 69, beloved partner, Dad, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin passed away peacefully on May 14, 2021 with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Springfield, MA to Joseph E. and Pauline (Bellerose) Proulx.

Joseph was employed by Graham Manufacturing Company in Holyoke where he worked for many years.

Joseph loved being a father, Pepere and Grandpa to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed fishing, traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, scratching his lottery tickets and telling a good joke.  He will be greatly missed by his large family, friends, co-workers and all those whom his life has touched.

Joseph leaves the love of his life, Gladys Garcia of Holyoke, MA, his daughter, Andrea Smith and her husband Bob, granddaughters, Althea and Sophia of Monson, MA.  He leaves his step-son, Saulo Garcia and granddaughters, Valerie and Samantha, and his step-daughter, Evita Garcia and grandsons Brett and Tahge, of Holyoke, MA as well as their grandchildren.  Joseph leaves his 5 siblings, Georgette Andersons and Tom Parnizari of Edgewater, FL, Paul Proulx and Cathy of Monson, MA, Denise Gamache and Gary Proulx of Monson, MA, Michelle Troxell and Dean of Valencia, CA, and Christine Drumheller and Paul of East Longmeadow, MA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, National Shrine of St. Jude or charity of one’s choice.
