SPRINGFIELD – Joseph R. McNally, 59, passed away on September 5, 2015. Born on September 7, 1955 in Springfield, he grew up in Six Corners in the South End and worked at the O’Connell’s Convenience Shell Gas Plus on Sumner Avenue. He was a veteran of the United States Army who will be remembered as a throwback to the 60’s and 70’s and enjoyed the NY Giants and feeding the ducks at Forest Park. Predeceased by his father Alexander McNally, he leaves his mother Ruth (Crowder) Jangrow, siblings Jimmy Ray Extine (Linda) of TN, Thomas Extine of Longmeadow, MA, Keith Ewing (Suzanne) of TN, Jack McNally, Mary Thompson (Richard Sr.) and Carolyn McNally of Springfield, MA and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be on September 18, 2015 at 10 AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial with military honors will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on September 17, 2015 from 4-6 PM. Visit
