CHICOPEE - Joseph M. Beck, 54, died on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Willimansett Center West in Chicopee, MA. Born in Holyoke, MA on December 25, 1956, he graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School where he studied carpentry and played varsity sports. He had been self-employed as a carpenter, His interests included baseball and supporting the Miami Dolphins. During his life he had lived for several years in California, Florida and Hawaii. Pre-deceased by his parents, Virgil and Joan (Proulx) Beck, he leaves his four daughters: Samantha, Charlene, Joanna and Gerianna Beck of Chicopee,MA; brothers: Michael Beck of Granby, MA and Daniel Beck of Orlando, FL; sisters: Pamela Jerzyk and her husband, John of Granby, MA, Brenda Lariviere and her husband, Ian of Ludlow, MA, Theresa Beck of FL, Maria Whalen of Palmer, MA and 14 nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Joseph's Life will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. His daughters will receive friends from 6:00-7:30PM with a service at 7:30PM. On Thursday, December 22, 2011 we will meet at St. Anne Church, Chicopee for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00AM.
