Springfield - Joseph Michael Bailey, 56, left this world on Sunday, April 29, 2018.
He was born in Springfield on March 10, 1962, the son of Ann Bailey Leavenworth and Michael Joseph Bailey, Jr.
Joe worked with the plumbing companies of Accurate Mechanical and Graham Boggis for 38 years. Joe was known as "Joe Cool” to his family and “Joe the Pipe Man" to his coworkers and friends. He was an avid fan of the Bruins and Patriots.
Joe will be remembered by his step-son, Matthew Laverdiere of Springfield (Mariann Cornier) and his granddaughter Zaydianny. He will be missed by his brothers, John Bailey and Kevin Bailey of Springfield and Alan Bailey of Ludlow; his sisters, Mary Bailey Franco of Wilbraham and Kate Bailey of Ludlow. Also saddened by his leaving are many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 8:00 AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield followed by a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Cathedral, 260 State Street, Springfield.
