West Springfield - John (Jack) Lewandowski, 83, died on January 7, 2019 after a long Illness.
He was born in Chicopee MA and was the last surviving child of Walter and Helen (Topor) Lewandowski.
He attended Chicopee HS and STCC and served in the US army in the late 1950s stationed in Germany.
Jack was a long-time resident of West Springfield and was a summer resident of Gloucester/Rockport, MA.
He leaves behind “his girls”: his wife Joan (Smola) Lewandowski, his daughters Lisa Lewandowski (NYC) and Launa Moran (Poughquag, NY); his son-in-law Glen Moran, his granddaughters Madison, Emma and Ava Moran and granddog Hami.
Jack loved the summers on Long Beach, western movies, the pursuit of mega millions and was a life-long sports fan.
At his request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund, the official charity of the Boston Red Sox.
