SPRINGFIELD-John V. Fiorentino, 80, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Born in Springfield, MA on November 10, 1930 to the late Vincent and Angelina (Centuori) Fiorentino of Italy, he was a lifelong resident of Springfield and Ludlow. He was the owner of John’s Catering in Springfield and noted for his famous frozen Italian lemonade. He was the founder of Fiorentino’s Roofing Company of Springfield and Ludlow. Predeceased by his son, Vincent Fiorentino, he leaves his loving wife, Alice (Fratamico) Fiorentino, of Springfield; his son, Thomas Fiorentino and his wife, Lynn, of Ludlow, MA; his daughter, Angela Cousineau and her husband, Joseph, of Somers, CT; his sisters: Dora Sibilia, Josephine Laude, Anna Toomey Sheehan and her husband, Thomas and Antonette Thivierge and her husband, Roger; his grandchildren: Barbara, Nicole and Allison Fiorentino and Alicia DiLuzio; his great-grandson: Jayden Perez; his in-laws: Dolores Fratamico, Elvira and Gilbert Fields, Danny and Annie Colapinto and Fred and Yolanda Heini; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 beginning at 9am from New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St. Springfield, MA proceeding to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25 from 4 to 8 pm.
