Springfield – John W. Connor, Jr, 84, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born in Tewksbury, MA on July 13, 1933, A son of John and Josephine (Roux) Connor.
He served in the U S Army during the Korean War and was a truck driver for many years. He was also a member of Teamsters Local 404. He always put family first and enjoyed sports, including touch football, the NFL, UConn Women’s Basketball, and baseball.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and visits to the casino.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Patricia (Pizzimenti) Connor, his children John W. Connor III (Patricia) of Springfield, and Sandra Connor – Misiun (Terry) of Sunderland. He also leaves one grandson, Brody Misiun and three step grandchildren, Anthony Douillard, Crestel Parent, and Stephanie Parent, and three step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Wilfred Connor, Evelyn Connor, Alma Grover, and Jacqueline Trevallion.
