SOUTHWICK – John Rosario Antonuzzo, Sr., 71, loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many passed away unexpectedly on June 30th, 2016 following complications from a surgical procedure. He spent eight years suffering from illness and chronic pain until the Lord called him home.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 28, 1944 to the late Rosario and Florence Antonuzzo. He served his country honorably from 1962 to 1965 in the United States Army as a Sergeant in the First Air Calvary. He was a resident of Southwick, MA since 1976 and was retired from Southwick-Tolland Regional High School where he was the Head Custodian. He served two years as Fire Commissioner for the Southwick Fire Department.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Preves) Antonuzzo, son John R. Antonuzzo Jr. (Mona); daughters Dawn M. Antonuzzo (Paul) and Deborah L. Hebert (Scott); grandchildren Brett Buser, Sabrina Hebert, Sophie Hebert and Lillie Hebert; sisters Priscilla Bates and Carol Diehm; nieces Donna Bates, Jackie Nichols and Nicole Diehm and nephew Gary Bates.
