Joanne Harte Murphy

SPRINGFIELD-Joanne Harte Murphy died peacefully at home on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Joanne who was born on April 16, 1942 in Springfield, MA was predeceased by her parents Robert and Rita Harte and her sister Gerry and brother Bobby. Joanne leaves behind her beloved husband, John and her loving sons, Michael and his wife Joyce of San Diego, CA and Brian and his wife Roscio of Springfield, MA and grandchildren: Alan, Kennedy, Salma and Diego. Joanne will also be fondly remembered by her sister, Peggy and her husband Myles St. Peter of Vero Beach, FL and her many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank her doctors: Dr. Murray, Dr. Glynn and Dr. Carton and their respective staff members for their care of Joanne during her illness and the wonderful staff of Noble Hospice Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael’s Parish Outreach Program, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow, MA 01028. Wake services for Joanne will take place on Friday, September 4, 2013 from 4:00-6:00PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11:00AM at St. Michael’s Church, 110 Maple St., East Longmeadow, MA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
