Jean A. (Fyfe) Simpson, 82, passed away on March 28, 2023.
She was born in Syracuse, NY on December 20, 1940, a daughter of the late Stanley and Marcelline (Schenandoah) Kilbourn.
Previously a longtime Springfield, MA resident, she was the owner operator of the former Murphy’s Pub on Liberty Street. Jean was a Native American Indian and proud of her Syracuse, NY Oneida Tribe heritage.
She is survived by her son with whom she lived, Hayden Fyfe and his wife Susan of East Longmeadow, MA. She also leaves two brothers: John Kilbourn, Frank Kilbourn and two sisters: Antoinette Kilbourn and Lorraine Suressi all of Syracuse, NY, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband Richard Simpson, two sons: Brian Fyfe and Randall Fyfe and six siblings: Randall Fyfe, Van Kilbourn, Exadine Kilbourn, Russell Kilbourn, David Kilbourn and Cheryl Kilbourn.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 12-4PM with a service at 1PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
