Jan C. Bellows

LONGMEADOW- Jan Carpenter Bellows, 64, died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home in Longmeadow Thanksgiving morning. She was born in Fort Worth Texas September 22, 1948. A daughter of the late Granville Carpenter and the late Elizabeth Carpenter Gleckler , Jan is survived by her husband of nineteen years, John H. Bellows, her three children: Gavin Turner and his wife Jessica of Laredo, Texas, Jonathan Turner and his daughter Emma Marchetta Turner of Longmeadow Ma, Elizabeth Love and her husband Jesshill Love and their children Vivian and Jesse of Menlo Park, California and sister Betty Nan Baxter and her husband Cash Baxter of Palm Desert, California and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Diane Holcomb of Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Jan brought joy into the lives of all she met. She was devoted to her profession of teaching and devoted to her family and is sorely missed by all who were touched by her warmth and her enthusiasm towards life. A memorial for Jan will be held at The Faith United Church of Christ, 52 Sumner Ave. Springfield, MA 4:00 PM Thursday, December 1st.
