James G. Roberts

James G Roberts, son of the late Generas and Pauline Roberts passed away peacefully at
home May 8, 2025 at the age of 80.
He is survived by his wife Candice (Martin) of 57 years, two daughters Wendi Meunier and
Paige Lawor (Michael), three grand-daughters, Chloe Leistner (Tom), Madysen Meunier, Teagan
Lawor and two sisters Mary Jacot and Patricia Vaselacopoulos.
Jim spent his career at the Springfield Department of Engineering as a Civil Engineer for 42
years until retiring in 2009.
His family would like to thank close family friend Ann Kondracki and the nurses at Baystate
Hospice for their loving care and emotional support to Jim and his family.
Jim enjoyed his monthly coffee “meet-ups” with his good friend Lou DiCarlo.
He was kind and generous, witty, smart as a whip and could always be found in his yard
tending to his lawn and garden on a beautiful day. His favorite activity was sitting in his
sunroom listening to Doo Wop while watching the birds. Jim will be dearly missed. All services
