James W. Harmon

Minister James W. Harmon, 41, passed away on November 3, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 23, 1978 to Orlando and Charlene (Bradley) Harmon, he was a graduate of Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical High School and had worked in various positions at Chez Josef, the Sheraton, the Postal Service and as a bus monitor for Springfield Public Schools. James enjoyed all sports and was an expert at answering Jeopardy questions. The most important thing to James was his ministry at Universal Spiritual Outreach Center which included 21 years preaching at Hampden County House of Correction, visiting hospitals and nursing homes.

Predeceased by his father, he leaves his mother, the Reverend Charlene Harmon, his brother Orlando Harmon II, grandmother Ernestine Bradley, uncle James B. Bradley II (Tyren), aunt Patricia Bigelow and nephews Kashmin and Orlando.

A public walk-through viewing will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10-11 AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA with a private service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
