Jacqueline Siegel

March 4, 1925 — April 29, 2009

South Hadley - Jacqueline (Rappoport) Siegel, 84, died April 29, 2009 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Atlantic City, NJ she was the daughter of Bluma (Bayuk) Rappoport and  Dr. David Nissen. She was a long time resident of Philadelphia, PA before moving to Loomis Village in South Hadley six years ago. She graduated from Cornell University with a major in foreign languages. She was a member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority. Jacqueline and her late husband, Herbert J. Siegel, were collectors of antique toys and ephemera, and were members of the Antique Toy Collectors of America. An avid reader, she was a member of several book clubs. She was also a member of the Questers in Philadelphia. She leaves a son, Donald Siegel and his wife, Susan, of Conway; a daughter, Carol Siegel and her partner, Bill Fischer, of Somerville, a brother, Irv Rappoport of NJ and her cousin and best friend, Shirleyann Rosenthal of Philadelphia. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, whom she was very proud of, Jamie A. Siegel of Conway and Jason B. Siegel of Ann Arbor, MI. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
