Jacqueline D. Avery of Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully unexpectedly at home on March 21, 2023.
Jacqueline was born in Mississippi on November 22, 1944, Jacqueline was raised and educated in Chicago, Illinois. Jacqueline was a retired paraprofessional with Springfield Public Schools. One of Jacqueline’s greatest talents was her ability to bring people together for a greater cause. She hosted many fundraisers with proceeds going to The Open Pantry and Feed the Homeless. Jacqueline was actively involved in politics in The City of Springfield. She was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and president of the Women's Guild. Jacqueline loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, fashion, her high heel shoes, and watching football and basketball games.
Jacqueline is predeceased by her son Wendell R. Avery (1994). She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Condrumel Hardy (Lonnie), son, Kevin Avery, three grandchildren, Keyona, Brandon (Clarissa) and Terron. Four great grandchildren, Sa’Nasia, Jameer, Kayden and Sasha.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church on April 1, 2023 at 11am-12pm.
