Hezekiah Moore, 83, a seventy-two-year Springfield, MA resident, passed away on February 14, 2022 at the Soldier’s Home of Holyoke.
He was born in Rohwer, AK on July 12, 1938, a son of the late Claudie and Aldania (Young) Moore. He was a proud U S. Navy Veteran and was retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was a member of New Life Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and was on the Missionary Board.
He is survived by his sons: Juan Dixon and his wife Victoria and Larry Green, Sr., his brother Huey Moore, sister-in-law Debbie Moore, grandchildren: Keith, Devin, Zachary, Larry Jr., Tiana, Jamara, Tristen, great grandchildren, Christian, Cataleya and Maxwell, nieces: Tyrena Lester, Ebonica Lewis, nephews: Anthony Moore, Jr., Kendill Moore and grand-niece London Lester and many other family members.
Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Blue) Moore, and his brother Anthony Moore.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at New Life Calvary Baptist Church, 981 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA with a wake at 8:30AM and the service at 9AM. Burial with military honors will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
