HATFIELD - Henri Alfred Tetrault, 40, passed away on July 21, 2018 in Northampton, MA.
Born on October 31, 1977 to Alfred and Harriet (McWeeny) Tetrault, he spent his early years in Hatfield. A graduate of Phillips Academy Andover, Henri earned his B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001, and also spent two semesters studying abroad at University College London. Upon graduation, he moved to Brooklyn and managed a law firm in New York City.
Henri loved to travel, and his adventurous spirit led him to hike the mountains of Nepal, explore the islands of Thailand, trek the Inca trail in Peru, descend the silver mines of Bolivia, and surf the waves of Costa Rica. Closer to home, he enjoyed fishing, mixed martial arts, and kayaking with his mom. He loved spending time with his young daughter and taught her to horseback ride and play miniature golf; together they would visit children’s museums and nature reserves.
Beside his parents, he leaves his daughter, Juliet Tetrault of NY; brother Eric Tetrault of NM, and sisters Wendy Tetrault of VT and Cortney Duncan of CT; his former wife Ruth Baldwin of NY; nephews Jake, Charlie, Maurice and Blake, and niece Fern.
A private gathering will be held in Hatfield, MA.
