SPRINGFIELD-Hakeem M. Powell, 33, passed into eternal rest on October 5, 2013. Born on June 15, 1980 in Springfield, MA, he was a graduate of The High School of Science and Technology. He enjoyed martial arts, playing basketball and music. Predeceased by his mother, Katherine Petersen and an aunt, Linda Powell, he leaves his father, Edward Powell of North Adams, MA, his fiancé, Kyana Cunningham and their children, Aiquacha and Nylasia Powell, grandmother, Martha Perry, sister, Fikisha Powell and her children Tiara Seward and Joseph Crapps, aunts, Billie Joe Spears and Novis Edward all of Springfield, MA and other family members. The wake will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6:00-8:00PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA.
