He was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on January 19, 1961, a son of Dolor Major and the late Rita (Desrosiers) Major. He was an Eagle Scout, a passionate fly-fisherman, a devoted pet lover, lover of science fiction; a person who was always willing to tackle home improvement projects; and a loving and supportive husband, father and friend. He was employed as a software engineer for 35 years.
He leaves his wife Susan E. McIntyre-Major of Springfield; sons: Killian, Jamison, and Devon Major; brothers: Lawrence, James and Brian Major; sisters: Cynthia Bourbeau, Charlene Desjardins and mother-in-law Nancy McIntyre.
Services will be held on May 11, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 361 Sumner Avenue, Springfield.
Contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Mutt Rescue of Chicopee.
