SPRINGFIELD - Gladys M. Sam, 75, passed away on December 20, 2015. Born in Lafayette, LA on January 10, 1940, to Bill and Viola Newton, she and her husband settled in Springfield, MA in 1976 coming from Hartford, CT. She loved camping especially in Stafford Springs, CT.
Predeceased by her parents, her son Willie Sam, Jr., two brothers and two sisters, she leaves her husband Willie M. Sam of Springfield, MA; brother Junior Newton; sister-in-law Myrtle Washington and her friends Michael McCullough, Demaris Malave, Karen Todd, and Harold and Mae Goodman.
Funeral services will be held on December 30, 2015 at 7 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA with visitation from 6-7 PM. www.nefcc.net
